This week’s episode of Win The Hour, Win The Day Podcast interviews, Michelle B. Griffin.
People started booking calls with her and telling her an AI sent them.
That’s Michelle B. Griffin, and she’s back on the show because she went and found out why it was happening.
She asks every person who books how they found her. It’s a question on her scheduler and she actually reads the answers. Then the answers started changing. Somebody said they asked Claude about personal branding and her name came up. Then it happened again, and again, and it stopped looking like a fluke.
Here’s the shift. People aren’t only searching now, they’re asking. Who’s the best person for this. And what comes back is a recommendation, not a page of rankings.
I’ve been on hundreds of podcasts, we write blogs every week, there’s a book on Amazon, and I’ve got my own show. So I asked her the selfish question, which is whether we’re in better shape than we were back when the whole game was chasing back links into bigger websites.
She said yes, because the work moved. It isn’t chasing anymore. It’s whether the trail you already left says the same clear thing everywhere.
Her framework is three Cs. Clarity, so you’re positioned for something instead of being one of thousands of business coaches. Credibility, which means third party proof, because AI doesn’t want your word for it. Continuity, which means recent, because if every clue about you is from 2019 you’re clearly not in the mix.
And she gave one thing you can do this week. Open a private window, log out of every paid AI account so it doesn’t know it’s you, and ask who you are and what you’re known for. Then ask who’s the best in your lane and see if you show up.
She found out she’d been featured in Success Magazine months earlier and had no idea.

Michelle B. Griffin Podcast Interview
[00:00:00] Hey, everyone. Welcome to another episode of Win The Hour, Win The Day, and I am your host, Kris Ward. And today in the house we’ve got a return visitor, and there’s a reason she’s back, Michelle B. Griffin, and she is a PR and professional branding strategist. And today we’re gonna talk about something incredibly interesting: AI visibility. Okay. Welcome to the show, Michelle, and what does AI visibility mean?
[00:00:24] Michelle B. Griffin: Kris, it is a pleasure to make an encore, and it’s a natural topic from my one a y- a year and a half ago.
AI visibility, AI discoverability, it is such a thing. I’m gonna tell you my story- Okay … and how this is gonna help your audiences listen, learn, and start taking action so they can be found and be the expert AI recommends.
[00:00:44] Kris Ward: Okay, let’s get to it.
[00:00:46] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay, so let me just tell you my story. Yeah. January 2025, shortly after I was on your last podcast, I started getting bookings.
Like you, I track where people are finding me, right? Mm-hmm. So my Calendly, TidyCal, where’d you find me? I [00:01:00] started seeing Chat the next month. Claude, I asked Claude personal branding, your name came up. Well, boom, boom, boom. This started happening more and more and more, and I realized it wasn’t a fluke, Kris.
Something is happening here. So I got to town as the researcher I am, started researching, doing all the things, and I started continually seeing it and researching it, and AI visibility is a thing. I started writing about it last year. It is now really more in the mainstream, uh, late last year- Okay … early 2026, and now we’re well into it.
But the LLMs, people are no longer really going to Google. Okay. The data backs it up. People are going to Chat, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini, and likewise to say, “Who is the best coach for me in XYZ?” Okay. “Who’s the best personal branding coach?” And guess what? We’re being recommended, not ranked anymore.
Okay. And so from that recommendation, people can link out to you, and so that’s how I’m getting calls and clients and continue to do so to this day. So I wanna share this [00:02:00] information with your audience so they can take advantage. I created a framework to make it super easy
[00:02:05] Kris Ward: Go ahead. Yeah, don’t let me stop you.
[00:02:07] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay. Well, there’s a technical side- Okay … absolutely a technical side, and we won’t get into that today. I’m in the brand visibility PR world, and this is exactly the continuation of my framework I shared last time, E, elevate your visibility and authority. So what it is is AI is going to be looking for the right answer to the, the questions being asked, okay?
Okay. That is its job. It’s trained to do that. If you’re unclear, you don’t look proven, or you’re just out of date, it’s gonna pass you by. The opportunity’s gonna pass you by to someone else. So to make it super easy from a brand positioning PR visibility authority side, I created the recognition ready AI framework, the three Cs.
Okay. Are you ready for them?
[00:02:48] Kris Ward: I am very ready.
[00:02:49] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay. And I’d love… We’re gonna do a little, uh, t- uh, test prompt so your audiences can see how they apply, too. Okay. So the first one is clarity, Kris.
[00:02:58] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:02:59] Michelle B. Griffin: How [00:03:00] clear is your brand? You wanna be positioned for what you wanna be known for, okay? Vague… I shared this example last time.
It’s so perfect. I say we can’t just be a business coach. Mm-hmm. You know how many business coaches there are probably in this world? I need to do a c- a thing on that, but there’s thousands and thousands and thousands. I want to be a business coach for CEO executives in the tech space or maybe healthcare tech.
Like, that is, like, so well-positioned, and I’m not saying you have to niche down or it hurts, but the AI’s LLMs, the large language models, need clues that you are the person they need, so you need to be very well-positioned. What does that mean? Everywhere online, Kris, needs to say that story. Your website, your social- your blogs, everything needs to be clear and positioned for what you wanna be known for.
[00:03:47] Kris Ward: Right.
[00:03:47] Michelle B. Griffin: Now, is that the case for many of us? A lot of us, we kinda… I talked about this last episode, we can link to, we kinda skew and get off track, and that can be a, a very big problem. In fact, last episode would be a [00:04:00] perfect example of how to get even more positioned, but you wanna make sure that AI can absolutely decide you’re the XYZ for a certain industry, okay?
That’s why, also too, if you have a common name like Jane Smith, I’m Michelle B. Griffin for a reason. Yeah. Okay? Kris Ward’s pretty… How many Kris Wards are out there? Have you ever-
[00:04:20] Kris Ward: Yeah, there’s a couple, but one is like a, a 45-year-old professional soccer player. Okay. So, like, they don’t usually confuse me with him.
[00:04:28] Michelle B. Griffin: Right. Okay, good. Yeah. Yeah. So I’m
[00:04:29] Kris Ward: pretty good.
[00:04:29] Michelle B. Griffin: He’s a male. Yeah,
[00:04:30] Kris Ward: yeah.
[00:04:30] Michelle B. Griffin: Yeah. Exactly. Okay, so that’s another thing. I started using Michelle B. Griffin five years ago just to stand out, and, um, start putting a middle initial into your name. Just make it super clear. And I’m gonna give you some really actionable things in a minute after we go through this framework.
Number two is be proven.
[00:04:45] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:04:45] Michelle B. Griffin: Now, Kris, you’re amazing what you do. You’ve written books, you speak, you’ve helped thousands of clients, successful seven-figure business plus, right? So you can tell us, and we know, and we believe you, that, uh, you’re good, but you know what? The AI [00:05:00] wants to trust third-party proof.
Right. Third-party validation. So this is where my love of PR, digital PR I talked about, is having a heyday. How can we tell them, oh my goodness, this panel, this conference, this podcast host, this outlet featured, quoted all the things. So third-party validation is having a moment. PR is having a moment.
Okay. I talked about this in the last one. You have… Do you have a media page on your site? I think you do, right?
[00:05:28] Kris Ward: I’m not sure if I do. I have to think about that. I have it differently m- I don’t know. We may not have one.
[00:05:32] Michelle B. Griffin: You’re on podcasts a lot, and you’ve gotten in the media.
[00:05:35] Kris Ward: Yeah. You’ve done all the things.
So we do have podcasts on the page. I do have about us. I don’t know if I’d call it a media page- Okay … ’cause our page is changing all the time. But I think, let me jump in here for a second. I know in the past we were all like, okay, on your website, still, even before AI, it was like, oh, if you’re linked to a bigger website, and all these back links make your website and you more valid as far as the search goes and ranking.
So fine. But a lot of that you couldn’t control. It was always chasing this, can [00:06:00] I get my article in this bigger magazine? Because that back link would work for me. But now with AI, you’re right, I’ve been on hundreds and hundreds of podcasts as a guest, and, you know, we, we re- write blogs every week, and I have written a book, and it’s on Amazon, and then I have my own show.
So, so are we in a better position now than we were before when we’re trying to make friends and get these back links all hooked up, which was a never ending task, because AI just looks at the history of Kris Ward on, you know, on the internet and says, “Oh, we got all these social proof things,” so it’s easier to pull them together than it was before?
[00:06:37] Michelle B. Griffin: Yes, like I said, you know, Google still has a place- Yes … but the data, and I’ll sh- link to my guide, the data, I have data where it’s just, you know, 82% of people now go to LLMs to do their search.
[00:06:47] Kris Ward: Okay. And LLM standing for?
[00:06:49] Michelle B. Griffin: Large language models, AKA- Okay … Chat, Claude, Perplexity- Okay, got you … all the five, the big five- Okay
and plus. But yes, it needs some clues. Like, so if you… This is the one big tip I tell people, and I [00:07:00] said this last time. A lot of th- my friends, clients, colleagues, they’ve been on shows, but they don’t have a PR press, media page. That tells, you know- Okay … even media when they look for you, they go, “Oh, wow, this person’s an expert source.”
Okay. So it’s just bringing all the… You’re making it easy for the LLMs.
[00:07:15] Kris Ward: Right, put it all on one page. Okay.
[00:07:16] Michelle B. Griffin: Yeah. And now granted, they can, you know, sometimes not, because you’d be surprised how many of these publications are gated. Right. You know, like for, you know. So link to it as much as you can. Make it super clear and easy.
Okay. Even have an LLM info page. That’s a thing now. Okay. And just, you know, t- and I, I’m getting to my tips before I finish my framework, so let me stop myself. But just- Okay,
[00:07:38] Kris Ward: well hold on. You teased us. I have to stop you there. What do you mean an, a LLM, uh, info
[00:07:44] Michelle B. Griffin: page? Info
[00:07:44] Kris Ward: page?
[00:07:44] Michelle B. Griffin: Yeah. Okay. Well, we’re just gonna give you a little s- uh, pop-up tip before we get to the f- Okay
into the framework. Uh, so one thing you can do is have a page on your site that- Yeah The LLMs, it’s like llm.info.txt or [00:08:00] whatever. You know, put a page on your site that says everything Kris Ward does, what Michelle does. Okay. She’s… does this. She helps these people. She does… You know, put anything and everything contextually that you wanna be known for and you’re positioning yourself for, the be clear.
Okay. And you call it llm.info., dot, you know, whatever the page is.
[00:08:19] Kris Ward: Oh, okay.
[00:08:20] Michelle B. Griffin: And you categorize it there, so it has… It’s one page. It’s a go-to page for the… It’s the cheat sheet. It’s the cliff notes for the LLM.
[00:08:27] Kris Ward: Is that visible to the pu- public, or is it a back end stuff?
[00:08:29] Michelle B. Griffin: It- it’s usually back end, but you can Google it, actually.
Sure, okay. I mean, it’s not hidden. Someone could maybe look for it. Right,
[00:08:34] Kris Ward: but I think a, a layman person coming to your page doesn’t necessarily see it. Yeah. Okay,
[00:08:38] Michelle B. Griffin: so we’ve got- Yeah, but you could put it in the feed. Like, I’ve seen people just put in the, um, you know, AI info or something too. So I’m actually work- that’s a project of mine I haven’t even done yet.
Okay. I was so busy teaching and writing this, but, uh, that’s a helpful thing that’s developed. This, the technical side develops and changes so fluidly. Yeah. That’s why this guide is just really good information on [00:09:00] positioning and high-level tips. Okay, so do that.
[00:09:02] Kris Ward: And the guide we can put in the show notes, correct?
[00:09:04] Michelle B. Griffin: Absolutely. Okay. It’s a 20-page guide, and it links to my AI scorecard. Okay. I’ve got a lot of goodies. I want more experts that you serve- Okay … to bring their brilliance out there and be found, right?
[00:09:15] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:09:15] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay, so we want third-party proof. A lot of us have it, we’re hiding it. Also, too, podcasts. You know, the transcript’s not always available, and can be t- from, uh, Apple and Spotify.
LLMs can’t really do that, so if you’re on a podcast, put the transcript with it, too.
[00:09:32] Kris Ward: Yes,
[00:09:32] Michelle B. Griffin: we could do that. ‘Cause that’s gonna help… Another, my third part of the framework is continuity.
[00:09:37] Kris Ward: Right.
[00:09:38] Michelle B. Griffin: Be present.
[00:09:39] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:09:39] Michelle B. Griffin: If LLMs find you, like, “Oh, well, Kris is really looks like she might be the answer to this query,” but then they’re like, “Oh, well, I haven’t seen anything…
She hasn’t touched anything. All clues are from 2019.” Mm. “Oh, well, she’s not the answer, because obviously she’s not present, active, and in the mix of doing this.” Right. So you wanna be present, okay? Okay. Continuity. Now, let me [00:10:00] caution you, because you’re probably thinking, your, your audience listeners are probably, “Oh my God, no more endless social media feeds.
This is killing me.” I hear you. I’m not a big social media person too. This doesn’t mean I tell you to start posting on LinkedIn all the time, five times a day or wherever. It needs just some timestamps, some continuous things. Okay. Maybe once a month, once a week, once a quarter at least. The more we can do it, but I’m…
It’s, it’s n- it’s quality- Over quantity, but in a, in a present consistent way, okay? Not once every year or month, you know. And I think a lot of us can manage that. Some have teams- Yeah, yeah … VAs. I know you bring that into the mix with your work. So that’s a… I think it’s a doable thing, okay?
[00:10:45] Kris Ward: Yeah, so we’re, we’re really just taking everything we’re already doing and then reorganizing it so it’s, it’s digestible- Yeah
uh, for lack of better words, almost like taking your content and maybe like taking your pictures and then saying, “Hey, we got all [00:11:00] these pictures, digital pictures. We’re gonna make a little album for Grandma here, and we’re gonna put them in the order, whatever, whether it’s chronological or whether it’s whatever we want.”
So we’re changing the order so that, and making it really clear, so that when it, there’s a search in play, all this stuff is, is going to be available to them.
[00:11:16] Michelle B. Griffin: Exactly. And the more we can date something, the better. Right. I mean, if it’s not obvious to the LLMs, or maybe you do a refresh, so update. And, um, this is not like getting ranked and, you know, back then we used to update our blog posts.
This is truly signaling all your content from social to blogs to articles to speaking. When you post on LinkedIn and all the things, it’s looking at every clue. It’s so many thousands of data points. Now, there’s a technical side, and I’m not teaching that. That’s fine. I’m from a-
[00:11:44] Kris Ward: We can find it …
[00:11:45] Michelle B. Griffin: brand positioning side.
Yeah. These are high-level things. Before you can even do the technical side, you’ve gotta get the foundation. Yeah. I stressed that last time.
[00:11:53] Kris Ward: Um- The how is one thing the, you know, or the what is one thing and the how is another. We’re- Yeah … we don’t wanna know the how here.
[00:11:58] Michelle B. Griffin: Most people, most people are, um, number [00:12:00] one thing most people find, and I said this last time, is that we’re not positioned enough.
We’re too vague- Okay, okay … or we’re confusing to the algorithm, excuse me, for to the AI LLMs. You’re like, “What?” It’s, it’s counterintuitive. It’s blocking each other out. So that’s where you really need to go do a search on yourself. So I’m gonna be bringing you into some actual tips right now, but let’s, let’s, let’s kind of digest this.
This is a lot. Okay. But this is… Let’s talk about the opportunity, okay? Okay. The opportunity is that experts, small business owners, entrepreneurs, founders that you’re listening or listening you serve, they have an opportunity to jump on this now, you know. On the B2B space all these brands are doing that.
Experts, small business owners, founders, t- start doing this. You can be found- Yeah … along with the big mix. You would be so surprised. So this is opportunity right now
[00:12:49] Kris Ward: Okay, I like it. And you, uh, I’m, I’m almost overstimulated with the excitement of all this, um, and that’s, that was to your story in the beginning how all of a sudden you were getting noticed and it was all [00:13:00] coming through that, right?
Okay.
[00:13:01] Michelle B. Griffin: Yes. And it still does. It absolutely still does. Yeah. And, you know, these things change all the time, so you- Right … could start doing some of this now and start seeing this take… You remember Google used to take, it could take months or months- Yeah, yeah, yeah … to get… The, and, and also things change all the time, and it’s almost like- Yeah
if you could, you know, ask LLMs a question, you could almost get two different things. So I’m gonna give you some high level tips in a minute- Okay … that’s gonna really help your audience take, start taking advantage of this, plus my guide.
[00:13:29] Kris Ward: Okay. Okay, let’s go.
[00:13:30] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay, so first of all, as a baseline foundation, we need to see where we are.
One of the best tips right now is if… Do you have a, um, paid membership or subscription to Claude or Chat or any of those?
[00:13:42] Kris Ward: Yes, of course, yes. Okay. I’m on-
[00:13:44] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay …
[00:13:44] Kris Ward: Planet Earth with a business, yes.
[00:13:45] Michelle B. Griffin: Yeah, most of us do these days.
[00:13:47] Kris Ward: Yeah,
[00:13:47] Michelle B. Griffin: yeah. So what I suggest is go to an incognito private window- Right … and also log out.
Right. Log out of all the paid ones so it doesn’t know you’re you, right?
[00:13:58] Kris Ward: Yeah, yeah.
[00:13:58] Michelle B. Griffin: And [00:14:00] ask your favorite ones, and if you really are into it, ask all five.
[00:14:04] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:14:05] Michelle B. Griffin: Who is Kris Ward and what is she known for? Okay. Okay? So I want you to do that and see what it says. Yeah. And then go to… I do all five. This is, when I was doing my testing, all five, put it in a big Google Doc, and date it, okay?
Okay. That is your baseline, like wow. Circle what you like. What the heck? You’re g- might even find some things that are like, what? Where’d it get that i- you know. So there’s gonna be some really telling things. Yeah. And it’s eye-opening. So make sure it’s private window and logged out of any paid LLMs that know you and you’ve been chatting with for a while.
[00:14:39] Kris Ward: Okay?
[00:14:40] Michelle B. Griffin: Okay Yeah So that’s gonna be so eye-opening. This is your baseline, where we’re gonna fix it, and you’re gonna see what it says about you. Okay? Um, any links that it links to, so you can go… I found things… I actually found I was, um, featured in Success Magazine. I had done a thing for it months ago by this that I di- I didn’t know it.
Another thing is Google Alerts. [00:15:00] Continue to set Google alerts for you. Yeah. Yeah We do that back in the day, but this helps, too. Mm-hmm. So absolutely do that. Okay, so that’s step one. That’s gonna be a lot. I find it fun because it’s
like- yeah … ooh,
[00:15:12] Kris Ward: here’s another- It’s simple, but really effective. I’m like, oh my gosh.
So it’s one of those things, well, good on you, and at the same time I’m annoyed at myself thinking, “Why did I not think of that?” Yeah. Go ahead.
[00:15:22] Michelle B. Griffin: Y- you know what else I find when we do this? It’ll tell… You know sometimes we struggle, like when we’re doing our messaging or copy or something, like, I wanna write this or that, or the wa- we’re just too close to our brilliance.
Mm-hmm. So I have found so many nuggets the way AI said about me. Like, oh, I love how they just- Yeah … briefed that out so perfectly, you know? Yeah. And so you’re gonna get some golden nuggets there as well.
[00:15:43] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:15:44] Michelle B. Griffin: I’m excited.
So that’s a, that’s a little bonus for doing that.
[00:15:46] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:15:47] Michelle B. Griffin: So put it in one file and date it.
That’s your baseline, okay?
[00:15:50] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:15:50] Michelle B. Griffin: So we’re gonna get to town and do the three, the Recognition Ready AI, Michelle’s framework. You know, we’re g- I’m… You’re gonna go download my guide. You’ll get the checklist, all the things. I don’t have to go in this now, [00:16:00] but that’s your baseline, okay?
[00:16:01] Kris Ward: Okay.
[00:16:01] Michelle B. Griffin: Now, part two of your baseline is to do those same private search in all of them and say, “Who is the best XYZ in XYZ industry?”
So you’re wanting to see if they would recommend you at this time. So-
[00:16:15] Kris Ward: Okay …
[00:16:15] Michelle B. Griffin: like, um, who would be the best personal branding coach or speaker for women experts and leaders? Like, maybe- Okay … I’d ask that about me, right?
[00:16:25] Kris Ward: Right.
[00:16:25] Michelle B. Griffin: Blindly, privately logged out, and just see what they say. Okay? Now, sometimes, depending, it might be like Brene Brown, and we…
I’d be like, no, we’re not… I mean, um, B- no, we’re not on Brene Brown thing. We’re talking- Right … contemporary co- you know, people. Yeah,
[00:16:43] Kris Ward: yeah.
[00:16:43] Michelle B. Griffin: But it’s gonna be super interesting to see what they pull up, who they pull up, and how they describe those people. Okay? Okay. That is huge. Go do that five times in all the LLMs.
Date it as well. Those are your two controls. Those are your baseline [00:17:00] foundations, okay? So eye-opening. So eye-opening
[00:17:03] Kris Ward: It is. And you know what? I have to tell you, Michelle, I usually like, uh, much more involved with the conversation. I’m just sitting here nodding. So, yeah, you don’t need me at all. It’s fascinating.
It’s- Yeah, it’s like okay …
[00:17:14] Michelle B. Griffin: no, it’s just so fascinating. It is. Don’t you know why I started geeking out last year? But I am
[00:17:18] Kris Ward: going- Yes, I can see …
[00:17:19] Michelle B. Griffin: I-
[00:17:19] Kris Ward: Yeah …
[00:17:20] Michelle B. Griffin: I
[00:17:20] Kris Ward: spent months- I’ve stopped blinking … ye- I’m like, “I don’t have any questions. I’m just listening. Go, talk, fast.” I
[00:17:24] Michelle B. Griffin: wrote it last October, and then I’m like, “No, this is too confusing.”
I had like- Yeah … seven things, and so I got to work even deeper, and I brought it out early this year because I just want so many people to start doing this. And there’s a whole technical side I will, you know, but that changes all the time. But foundations first- Yeah … which I talked about last time. So we want…
This is where we’re gonna go to town d- and just realize, “Is my brand communicating who I am? Do people know who I am?” And now LLMs, would they recommend me for what I want to be known for? Now, some of us evolve. Remember when you told me last time [00:18:00] that you started as, like, productivity- Yeah … and then you realized it got… either it was kind of an outdated or not in touch with the way- It
[00:18:06] Kris Ward: was putting me in the wrong category. It was not- Yeah … it was not what we did, and I just, I, yeah, I was in that category. I wandered in willy-nilly just thinking it was… I didn’t fully understand what that category meant, and I was put in there, and I had to crawl my way out, ’cause it’s not the essence of what we do.
Yeah.
[00:18:22] Michelle B. Griffin: And we talked about so beautifully- Yeah … all of the emotional tie-in and so-
[00:18:26] Kris Ward: Yeah …
[00:18:26] Michelle B. Griffin: this, I, I, not, because I’m tooting my own horn, but I listened to this episode before we got on today and I was like, “Wow, it was he- super helpful.” So if you listen to this today and last time- Yeah … it’s gonna help you go back to center and go, “Huh, here’s how I get repositioned.”
N- we talked about those just starting out, Kris, or those who’ve been in business a while, we, we drift. Yeah. We start maybe floating into what our competitors are doing- Yeah … or not paying attention to what our clients need, just forgetting our why, our story, and we touched about all that [00:19:00] last time, and that is how you come back to center.
Lastly, do you remember this? I said, “Just because you can do something and your clients want it, but does it light you up?” Yeah. You had that issue too at one point, didn’t you?
[00:19:12] Kris Ward: 100%, and that is j- th- that’s w- the essence of everything we do because then you start… You know, I had one client say that to me just recently, is that she realized…
A lot of the people I work with are what I call the go-to person in their life, and they realize they run around and they get more done than anybody else, they look good on paper. And because they’re the go-to person in their life, they just think it, the answer is always work faster and harder and longer hours, and I’ll get it done, because I get more done than anybody else, so it’s gonna have to get done, it’s gonna get done by me.
And in that also, sometimes you tend to always accommodate to other people’s needs. And one client said to me, “Oh my gosh, I realize I did that with the clients as well. I was j- constantly making new packages for things that they needed.” It’s like, oh yeah, I could do it. Doesn’t light me up, but we have the ability to do it, and you feel like you’re saying no to money if you don’t do it.
But then you’re just [00:20:00] spreading your, your… It’s like a glass of water. You’re just tipping the glass of water, and the water’s all over the floor, which means you don’t have the glass of water to have a drink, water a plant, clean a table, do whatever. So it, it bleeds into a lot of areas that really affects the business.
[00:20:15] Michelle B. Griffin: Exactly, and a lot of us, like you just said, a lot of your clients are doing that. So that means maybe what they’re putting out there o- in our digital presence is saying that. It’s all over the place. Yeah. So this is the time to clean it up, come back to center, and- Yeah … this is the perfect time for us to all refresh, reinvigorate what we wanna do, stay true.
Take a good look. Yeah. That’s why on my LANE framework, launch your vision. It’s your values and your vision. Am I doing the why I’m still here for and I wanna do? And we so get caught in the day-to-day. This is your, your work, Kris, so you know we just, like you just said, we f- we fall off. We get off track.
And this is a perfect time to do it, because if you wanna clean this up and be recommended by L- um, LLMs, Chat, and AI- Yeah … and the people, now’s the time to do it. So no [00:21:00] harm. We all evolve. We permission slip granted. It’s totally normal, okay?
[00:21:04] Kris Ward: I think to this point is it does two really wonderful things.
One, you’re right, even if it didn’t have you recommended to, you know, the LLMs and the AI platforms, even just the cleanup- Yes … ’cause every once in a while you trip over something in the dark recesses of the internet and like, oh my gosh, or somebody calls you from a phone number like, uh, asking you about something, and you’re like, “Where did they get that from?”
And you’re like- Yeah … “Oh, that was 12 years ago,” right? Yeah. And so even the cleanup would be exciting just to have a conversation about that. But then for you to clean us up and set us up- Yes … to be researchable and a resource is really something else
[00:21:45] Michelle B. Griffin: Exactly, and the time, like you say, well now this is the time I might just need to really…
You know, I realize- Yeah … 80% of my business comes from X, Y, Z. Yes. Yeah. And let’s just go all in on this. We’re getting the traction. Yeah. Why not tell the world, the digital presence, the LLMs, and so you can [00:22:00] start getting those recommendations. Yeah. The biggest problem I see is people are confusing the algorithms or the AI LLMs, the chats, and the clouds, or they’re just too broad.
They’re not- Yeah … they’re just one in a million. You know? They’re, they’re just business coach. You know, the biggest thing I see on LinkedIn, I don’t see it as much hopefully, but I used to see, “I help business owners,” for their first 50 characters. Well, you and, uh, 1.9 billion people- Yeah. … could possibly be doing that.
That doesn’t give me a cl- it’s signals. These are the three- Yeah … signals. So that’s the first benefit of doing that. Yeah. And I think we just talked about a bunch throughout that as well.
[00:22:36] Kris Ward: Well, we will absolutely make sure that we get all of this. We are gonna have a link to your assessment tool because, uh, I, I, it sounds like you’re being so helpful and just explaining why we need to be doing it, but that there’s a lot of depth and scope into the tool itself.
[00:22:51] Michelle B. Griffin: Mm-hmm. Yes, I have a checklist. Yeah. And also in the guide you have a link to an AI tool that is the digital checklist, and it’s gonna ask you some things and it’s gonna [00:23:00] score you on your signals, how recognition ready for AI are you to be found, and it’s gonna really help you. And so this from a brand visibility PR side, this is where we need to start, foundations first.
You know, you could go hire lots of different people to do anything, and as I said last time, but when we get the foundation first you’re gonna, um, avoid wasting a lot of time, money, mental energy, financials. Yeah … you name it. So it’s the perfect time to just reset and reinvigorate. So I- Mm-hmm … I look at this as a huge positive.
Another visibility stream we can start paying attention to, and right now, you know, there’s… it’s free. You know, they’re not doing ads in any of these queries, so why not take advantage of it, first to market advantage?
[00:23:44] Kris Ward: Yeah. Oh my gosh. Oh, my heavens, again, we could turn this into a six-part Netflix series, Michelle.
We may have to have you back again. Okay. All right. Michelle, where can people find more of your brilliance?
[00:23:55] Michelle B. Griffin: Well, thank you so much for having me on again. Yeah. MichelleBgriffin.com, the B [00:24:00] stands for branding, MichelleBgriffin.com, everything leads there, and you can… You know, right on the homepage you will see the link to Be the Expert AI Recommends.
Download that guide. It’s gonna send it to you. Y- it’s all for you. It is all for you to help you, so absolutely. I’m also like you on LinkedIn, my own- Yeah … if you hear or see me here, tell me you saw me here. I’d love to- Yeah … connect with you, Michelle B. Griffin. So in a nutshell, make it super easy.
[00:24:25] Kris Ward: This show is loaded with stuff, so please make sure you share it with a business buddy.
Do not have them banging around by themselves. There’s so much helpful content here. So everyone else, we will see you in the next episode, and Michelle, thank you so much.
[00:24:38] Michelle B. Griffin: It’s my pleasure. Thank you so much.
